GRICE’s music is soundtrack ready, beautifully crafted and emotionally charged, with enough
genre-defying weavings to make categorizing almost impossible. If you have to pin it down, then
‘Art Rock-with-progressive-Jazz-Rock-stylings-laced-with-exotic-beats-and-glitch’
would probably suffice.

Emerging from his singer-songwriter London roots, with two perfectly formed albums in the last three years
– 2012’s ‘Propeller’ and 2015’s ‘Alexandrine’ –
GRICE has again called on some stellar names as musical accomplices: Richard Barbieri and Steve Jansen from
electro pioneers Japan, Egyptian percussionist Hossam Ramzy (Led Zeppelin & Peter Gabriel)
and Italian trumpet maestro Luca Calebrese, among them.

Alexandrine conjures vivid pictures, driven always by interchanging percussion and pristine bass lines. Lyrics and
melodies emerge from ambitious soundscapes. Grice’s work is a journey, both international in its scope and deeply personal.
His immense studio experience allied to Jansen’s astute mixing, takes the songs far beyond the peripheral and into cinematic icy widescreen.

GRICE has composed music for television programmes and documentaries (Black Diamond films, MTV, MTVF, Sky Sports, BBC & BBC Worldwide, etc).
He also provided music for ‘William and Kate - A Royal Engagement’ for BBC2 and BBC worldwide.
